Rattlers F.C. Keeper Zach Brunner gets the nod. For All Star Selection

Keeper Selection draws on Rattlers F.C. Zach Brunner

Antelope Valley,California - The National Premier Soccer Leagues (NPSL) Technical Director Matt Driver has released the rosters of
this years NPSL All Stars. A week long tour of games and training that will begin in Huntsville, AL and travel to Raleigh, NC and
conclude back in Huntsville, AL. The All Star game was developed as a way that the NPSL can showcase the top talent in the
league to a number of Pro Scouts and agents. This gives the most talent players from each club through out the league the opportunity to be seen and to advance to the next level of play.

Goal Keeper Zach Brunner was selected to represent the Rattlers F.C. at this years event. Over 50 players with in the 38 teams among the NPSL where nominated for the All star game, but only 21 made the list. The selections included 7- Defenders, 7- Midfielder, 5- Forwards, and 2 -Goal Keepers. The All Star tour is scheduled for July 27th through Aug. 3rd. The players will arrive in Huntsville, AL. on July 26th and will begin a schedule of training and games that will take them to Raleigh NC. there they will play in game vs the North Carolina RailHawks of the NASL. They will return to Huntsville, AL and will face the Atlanta Silverbacks. All of
this will be done in front of a number of scouts from pro teams of every level and from all parts of the Country.

Zach Brunner born August 13th 1984 Home town Lancaster, California, Starting playing at the age of 5. His ambition has always to play professionally, Zach started training for it in High School, he spent 4 years training with Zak Abdel, former goalkeeper trainer for the Los Angeles Galaxy & Chivas USA, currently with the U.S Men's National Team.In Zach has had a personal Goal Keeper coach since high school and has taken his position in the game a serious one. After
High School he played at Moorpark College, Moorpark California. 2002-2004 (AA degree) His first two years at Moorpark. His Freshman year Zach tied for 37th in the state of Ca. in goals against average. His Sophomore year he started all but two games, and finished 5th in the state in GAA with a 0.75 average, had 500 shutout minutes in 1200 minutes played. Received the honor of First team All Conference, Second Team All Region and Nominated All American. That was good enough for Zach to be awarded a scholarship to finish his schooling in Mt. Vernon Ga. at Brewton Parker College. His junior year he was first in the Southern States Athletic Conference
and 2nd in the NAIA in saves per game with just under 10. His senior year he received
honorable mention from the SSAC and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Sports & fitness.


This is amazing and such an opportunity for me " said Zach Brunner on the All Star
Selection. "I'm honored! I've been working hard and been through a lot in the last five
years, so for this to happen when it did is very rewarding for me." Brunner went on to say " There's work to be done, I had an injury that I was resting until recently. I'm feeling strong and hopefully with this week of working hard will ensure I show up ready to step on the field. " I'm just going out there to have fun. The hard work is assumed, it comes with the territory, The experience is once in a lifetime and I just plan on making the best of it. Thanks to my parents, the Rattlers, and my wife and kids for all their love & support". Brunner said.



Brunner Join the Lancaster Rattlers of the Premier Development League of the USL. in 2007-2010 2009 in his 3rd season with the Lancaster Rattlers. The team as a whole improved with 19 points for the season and a record of 5-7-4. Ending in 7th Place. He
ended the 2009 campaign 1st in the entire PDL in Saves with 114...30 Saves I front of the #2 Goalkeeper. And also received 'Honorable Mention' from the USL for receiving the most votes of any other player on the team. Started & played 45 minutes with 1 goal against in the Rattlers 3-1 victory over Puebla F.C. of Mexico's 1st Division (front line team.) on October 6, 2009.

Zach is 26 years of age and this could be an excellent opportunity for him to be seen by Pro coach's, trainers and Scouts. He will differently be a good representation of the Rattlers F.C. We wish him the best and look for a follow up to this story.
