RATTLERS GOT A NEW LOOK AND A NEW LEAGUE

Rattlers drop USL and now have become a part of the National Premier Soccer League. More local competition at a high level of play, the Rattlers maintain there relationship with F.C. New York as a feeder team for the Pro affiliate but are able to have more of a participation in league operations well. The NPSL operates and is managed as a team run league. The structure of the league will allow each participating team to have one vote on the executive committee. Each team is owned and operated individually. Because of the way the NPSL operates it is a very low cost effective league for ownership. The Rattlers will participate in the Southwest region of the NPSL.. There will be same basic structure of 16 league games 8 at home and 8 away with an opportunity to compete to play in the US Open Cup. The regular league season runs from April through July with playoffs in August. for more information on the NPSL go to

F.C. New York posted there try out dates this November in New York
Five of our players are going. That's exciting It shows the purpose of the PDL is working . I wonder how many of the players in the Valley would be going if the Rattlers were not around?
Just wondering. How many players would even play at a competitive level with out the Rattlers being here in the Valley.???????
Some of you should think about that! The more F C New York gets to know the team and the players the more will be signing Pro. contracts. We should think about that.!

Wow at least they( the Five players going to NY) are able to be seen. IF no one sees you, you have no chance of being noticed? You must be in a place where that opportunity is !

We should think about that

Saturday, July 3, 2010

F.C. New York coming to Lancaster. The Professional D-1 USL team that opens it's first season in 2011 is coming to Lancaster . The Affiliate of the Rattlers is coming of observe the Rattlers in practice and in a game. They will be arriving in the up coming week and will attend the July 10th game vs the Los Angels Legends. Sergio Valencia a member of the coaching staff of F.C. New York will be arriving on the 9th of July. Valencia a professional player who played for El Salvador National team and also played for CD Aquila. Valencia will come to give a first hand report on the Rattlers players as F.C. N.Y. will be starting tryouts and filling there roster for 2011 at the end of this month.
Wow what a great opportunity for these local players. this is just the start of something real good.

Job well done!

Rattlers players played an exhibition game on Thursday night July first in Riverside at the University of Riverside against the SUSA- Everton under 23 team. The Rattlers went there with only 12 players 10 field players and 2 keepers. The Bench players got another opportunity to shine. A 1 to 0 win is what they helped produce. It was a back and fourth game with most of the ball in the Rattlers zone the majority of the time.
Then in the 85th minute of play Tony Hernandez passed the ball in too the Everton box and to the head of Jesus Lopez, who re-directed it to the feet of Forward Mauricio Harrie. Mauricio had gone down but managed a scissors type kick from the ground that found it's way to the far post and the back of the net. The Rattlers defense did an excellent job protecting the one goal lead for the next 15 minutes and got the victory. They have been playing really well, the ones who played Thursday really played with passion. Who can tell they really had desire to play. That seems to make the difference. There next league game is July 10th in Los Angele's against the Legends.
Note: the Everton team may be a part of the USL PDL next year.
